Who is and where does Wirdou come from?

I’m Pablo Bustos. I’m from Madrid, Spain. I majored in Biology, studied for being a teacher, didn’t find a job… and then started designing t-shirts!

How long have you been in the t-shirt world?

Four years more or less.

What would you suggest to an aspiring t-shirt designer?

A lot of hard work and looking at trends: popular topics, styles, etc. You need more than drawing and designing skills :)

What’s a day in the life of Wirdou like?

Pretty regular I think. I work from home, which is awesome and terrifying at the same time, and in my free time I like playing sports, guitar, etc.

Mac or PC?

MAC for laptops, PC for desktop computers.

3 tv-series: The Office, How I Met Your Mother, Parks and Recreation (dramas don’t seem like the best choice on a post-apocalyptic world).

3 movies: E.T., The Goonies, Star Wars.

3 videogames: Final Fantasy VIII, Call of Duty, NBA 2K.3 cds: I should say The Wall….but I will go with Morning View by Incubus, Absolution by Muse and Audioslave by Audioslave.

3 books: Dragonlance, LOTR, GOT.
