Tell us something about this design.
All of time and space; everywhere and anywhere; every star that ever was. Where do you want to start?
Who is and where does Pigboom come from?
Pigboom, this was actually my DotA (Defense of the Ancients) player name. I was once addicted, but then have outgrown this game and decided to make art. So since then, I’ve used that name as a trademark for my work as a graphic artist.
How long have you been in the t-shirt world?
I started designing t-shirts in high school and it was all unconventional. I put packaging tape over a shirt, trace my design with a marker and cut it with a blade. I just took some free Photoshop lessons online and is participating in design contests since 2007. It was 4 years later when I took my work as a graphic artist very seriously.
What would you suggest to an aspiring t-shirt designer?
Like I said in a recent interview, just be patient because it’ll take a lot of hard work. Keep the passion alive whatever happens. Keep doing what you love and stop comparing yourself to other artists. Explore creativity and be unique. Share your work and also try a different approach to make art. Find inspiration in books, nature and people around you. Make friends with other artists and collab with them too. Just enjoy, you’ll find your own style and get acknowledged for it eventually.
What’s a day in the life of Pigboom like?
I usually spend my time in a small room I rented, doing personal artwork or designs and submitting them to t-shirt contest sites. In the morning, I prepare my coffee and start working then take a lunch break. I get back to work and in the late afternoon, take a power nap. Then I wake up to shower and prepare for dinner before getting back to work again. Sometimes, I just doodle and do some sketches on paper when I get tired and bored working on my laptop. It’s just work, eat and sleep life. I’m by myself most of the time so I cook my own food, do my own laundry, run my own errands, everything DIY. When stress hits, I just go out and I either go window shopping, watch a movie or get some beer. I don’t have a full time job so I’m making art for the meantime.
Mac or PC?
PC and I’m still using Windows XP and Photoshop CS4.
Post-apocalyptic world. No trace of human race. It happens that you’ve survived and managed to save…

You are the governor of the world. What’s the first thing you would do?
I will create my own death star, live there and govern by controlling people to take care of the world to grow their own food, plant lots of trees and recycle. Then I’ll annihilate each nation that does not cooperate and who will protest.
You’ve just won a DeLorean time machine. Which historic period/time/moment would you like to visit?
Maybe I’ll visit Japan before the feudal era. Just love to see the old Japanese culture and life.
